Something About Mary
With over 35 years of Banking and Real Estate experience, Mary understands the emotional and the financial side of Real Estate.
As a native of Huntington, West Virginia, she attended Miller Elementary, Cammack Junior High and Huntington High School as well as Marshall University. Her father owned H.K.Betros Oriental Rugs and introduced her to Lexington at a young age when he furnished rugs to some of the finest homes and horse farms in town.
After 20 years in Montreal and Toronto Canada, working as a Money Markets and Derivatives trader for The Royal Bank of Canada, Mary came to the Lansdowne-Merrick neighborhood of Lexington in 1993 and worked for Banc One Securities. In 1999, she started working in the real estate field and has loved every minute of it!
Mary's husband, Richard, is a wonderful stained glass artist and owns A House of a Different Color, where he is a genius at home improvement projects. Her son was born in Toronto but is now a true Lexingtonian. He is an audio engineer and works for several of the music clubs that are sprouting all over Lexington.
Mary is a member of The Million Dollar Club and earned her ABR designation (Accredited Buyers Representative) and SFR designation (Short Sales and Foreclosures) to assist buyers a,nd sellers with pre-forclosure properties.
Mary truly enjoys her work as a reading volunteer for Central Kentucky Radio Eye, reading for the visually impaired on the radio across Kentucky. She also assists each month at God's Pantry. Please consider those organizations when you make your charitable donations. Mary is also an election officer, working as a judge in the Castlegate precinct for primary and general elections.
